The Purpose of the Study The purpose of this project is to show how GIS based crime analysis can be used to fight crime in Abu Dhabi by the police. This project also seeks to demonstrate the effectiveness of using GIS in crime analysis. The project will involve using satellite images and other data available from independent and UAE based sources to perform hotspot analysis in order to identify current trouble spots and recommendations on how this information can be used to fight crime and cook up crime prevention strategies.
